At the Bakhtar Journal of Management, we adhere to a rigorous double-blind peer review process, to ensure the quality and integrity of the scholarship we publish. Here is an outline of our review policy:

  • Double-blind Peer Review: In the double-blind review process, both the reviewer and the author are anonymous to each other. This process is designed to reduce bias, promote fair evaluations, and focus solely on the content and suitability of the manuscript.

  • Selection of Reviewers: Our peer-reviewers are selected based on their expertise and reputation in their respective fields. Reviewers are typically scholars or experienced practitioners in management, economics, or commerce.

  • Review Timeline: Once a manuscript is submitted, it initially goes through an internal review by the editor for suitability. If deemed suitable, it is sent to at least two reviewers. Reviewers are typically given 2-3 weeks to complete their review. However, review times can vary based on the length and complexity of the manuscript.

  • Review Criteria: Manuscripts are assessed based on their novelty, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, contribution to the field, and alignment with the journal’s scope. Reviewers also check for any ethical issues, and ensure that all studies and methodologies used comply with international standards and guidelines.

  • Review Feedback: After the review, the manuscript can either be accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected. In case of revisions, authors are expected to address the reviewer’s comments and resubmit an improved version of their manuscript.

  • Appeal: Authors have the right to appeal if they believe the decision was unjust. In such cases, the manuscript can be re-evaluated.

All these measures are designed to maintain the high standards of research published in the ‘Bakhtar Journal of Management’ and to promote transparency, fairness, and ethical practices in academic publishing.

5. Open Access Policy:

The ‘Bakhtar Journal of Management’ is committed to disseminating cutting-edge research to the widest possible audience. To this end, we have adopted an Open Access Policy, which means that all published articles are freely accessible online to all readers immediately upon publication.

We believe that open access accelerates the progress of research, encourages innovation, and enriches education. It permits anyone to read, download, print, and distribute articles, making it easier for researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and the public to benefit from the work.

To support the costs associated with publishing, peer review management, journal production, online hosting and archiving, we charge a modest Open Access fee. This fee only applies once the paper has been accepted for publication after a rigorous peer-review process.

Please note that the Open Access fees are subject to change based on the current situation and may be updated from time to time. All updates will be duly communicated on our website and through other appropriate channels.

We seek to keep our fees as low as possible to promote inclusivity and ensure that authors from all over the world can share their research through the ‘Bakhtar Journal of Management’. In case of severe financial hardship, fee waivers or discounts may be considered. Please contact our editorial office for further details.

8. Article Processing Charges:

At the Bakhtar Journal of Management, we strive to make scholarly publishing as accessible as possible. Currently, we do not charge authors any fees for the processing and publication of their articles. This includes submission, peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining and archiving, and allows for immediate global dissemination of their work.

However, the economic environment of academic publishing is dynamic. While we strive to keep our publishing model free for authors, we may in the future have to institute Article Processing Charges to cover the costs of publishing. If this becomes necessary, we guarantee that prospective authors will be notified well in advance of any charges and that such charges will be competitive and fair.

Our ultimate aim is to ensure that financially constrained authors are not discouraged from submitting their work due to processing charges, hence, even in a scenario where charges are implemented, we would pursue options for waivers or discounts for authors from low-income economies.

Please keep an eye on our website for any potential updates regarding our Article Processing Charges policy.

Authors also allow others to copy, distribute and transmit the work, and to adapt the work, under this License.

  • Author’s Warranties: Authors warrant that their manuscript is their original work, has not previously been published, and is not under consideration by any other publication. They also warrant that the article contains no libelous or unlawful statements and does not infringe on the rights of others.

  • Open Access: Consistent with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access, by “open access,” we mean the free availability of the research article on the public internet, permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of these articles.

Our copyright and licensing policies are designed to ensure widespread dissemination of research while protecting the rights of authors. For additional information or queries, authors can contact the Bakhtar Journal of Management editorial office.

  • Handling Plagiarism: If plagiarism is detected during the review process, the manuscript may be rejected immediately. If plagiarism is detected after publication, we may issue a correction or retract the paper, as appropriate.
